Guest guest
this is a reply to your posts in toto on this topic.
I can see where you are coming from but i don't understand something.
What are you most concerned about, (because there are many people who practice / teach yoga and eat meat and may also have environmental concerns). Guest guest
<< As for those still convinced that clean vegan living is the only way to really actualize non-violence, I will only say this - Please write a REALLY GOOD COOKBOOK that even a traditional Italian mom would love >>

Actually, as someone who lived in Italy for almost 20 years, and who still spends up to 3 months every year there, I wouldn't know of many traditional cooking-styles that are more vegetarian-friendly than the Italian one. As a matter of fact, many ordinary Italians still do eat very little meat, pasta and rice being the staple diet.

When I happen to be in Italy, I cook nothing but vegetarian dishes myself (not exactly vegan, because I'm not vegan - but vegetarian, yes) taken from a "REALLY GOOD COOKBOOK" that even a VERY traditional Italian mom would love. No need for 'special dinners' really. (Besides - Lino Miele is Italian, no? Does he eat meat??)

The story with the "Italian 'eat, eat' mother" sounds to me more like an ill-conceived excuse to apologize for the author's "occasional" (and apparently unrefrainable) trips to McDonald.
