Guest guest
I'd like to thank everyone who responded (including El Senor), stating that Astanga evening practice is not a bad thing. I wish that I could practice in the wee hours of the morning, but it has just never worked for me. I am in remission from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, & I am grateful that I can pratice at all. Actually, since practicing Yoga (in the evening) for nearly 3 years, my energy level has almost returned to what it used to be. I love my job, though it can be physically & emotionally taxing; practicing Yoga after work has always felt more beneficial to me than practicing before, as it feels restorative. Also, when I've tried practicing early morning, I start to feel exhaustion setting in before my time at work is over. I suppose if I went to Mysore, I could practice early in the morning there, as I wouldn't have any work responsibilities. As I stated above, I am grateful that I can practice,&
for now, the evening seems to work best.
Guest guest
kiai,
I had a friend (certified by Gurujii himself) who would practice ashtanga on a full moon at 2 am! Wow! How awesome ! I would just sit there watching the third series done to physical perfection with drooping eyelids!
twochant
