Here is my last rumination for the night -- ever

notice how really different downdog is in Iyengar than

in ashtanga? Iyengar advocates putting your head

really all the way to the ground and really stretching

out your neck and spine way past your shoulders (look

at picture in Light on Yoga). Well, I have no doubt

that the ashtanga way is better. But, why is Iyengar's

version of this fundamental pose so different?
