Guest guest Posted August 24, 2001 Report Share Posted August 24, 2001 Foot directly in front of the hip bent enough to touch the buttock. The space depends on where your hip joint is I suppose. In class after that, everyone got a bunch of adjustments as well - foot in front of hip. Also yoga mala says bring the heel toward the buttock. The pictures show exactly. When your foot is to the outside of the leg, it is easier to do the pose for some people.
