Guest guest
I have been practicing Ashtanga for almost a year now and have always looked forward to the progress of my practice (within my limitations, of course).

I can't really say that I'm not surprised by a number of practicioners who are keen of being Ashtanga teachers. It is not my intention to judge their genuine motive to teach which is due to their enthusiasm and devotion to the practice. I have met some people who wish to teach others so they can share what they have found in Ashtanga (inner peace and true self).

But with positive intentions comes self-indulgent ones...those who wish to teach in order to fan their ego. I have also met some people who boast of having attended teacher training courses, or how long they have been practicing, or getting adept to the second series, etc. As an imperfect person, I think their selfish needs are quite detrimental to the others who are genuinely searching for something deeper and more meaningful.

I should actually follow a quote fm Ptanjali's Yoga Sutra:

Be happy for those who are happier than you, compassion for those who are less happy, joyful at the praiseworthy deeds others do, and undisturbed by the error of others.

namaste
