Guest guest
I posted some thoughts on this a ways back. See post #5779. There may be other posts on the subject back in that area. I might note that since that post the book by Charles Tart I mentioned has been reissued. Also I have learned of a new book that looks interesting but have not yet seen it. Its called The Science of Marijuana by Leslie Iversen.

It could be normal to be very tired after some intense asana practice. Probably this will change with time. But ingesting marijuana and/or caffeine and/or any other drugs can certainly mess with energy levels, sleep patterns, etc.

Pot affects dfferent people differently at different times. Some smoke it every day and go to work, school etc. Some smoke it only occasionally, some use it to enhance awareness when practicing yoga. A little bit isn't going to hurt anyone. Regular use will definitely drain a lot of energy. And part of what we are trying to do in yoga is to build energy. I have recently been studying qigong, which is just the science of energy or chi. I recommend checking out this ancient Chinese science.
