Question for The Man

At some point Guruji will sit and take questions

from students. I wonder if someone will ask a question

that has been on my mind since I visited Mysore a

while back.

Sharat told me that a relative of

Krishnamacarya, living in Mysore, had photocopies of K's original

notes he took from reading the Yoga Korunta at a

library in Calcutta. Sharat said he was curious to see

them, but had not.

Question is: Has Sharat or

anyone else located and found these notes? Is any effort

being made to locate them?

On a more physical

level, perhaps Guruji can explain why, in Garba

Pindasana, one hand becomes flushed and red in color and one

becomes pale and white!

Cheers, DAN

<...why, in Garba Pindasana, one hand becomes

white!>

Uneducated guess: in the red hand a deep vein is crunched,

and in the pale hand an artery?

I asked Sharath about the photocopies and he said

that he hasn't seen them and wasn't even sure if there

are existing copies of Yoga Korunta.

Quote:

"Or perhaps in Calcutta or Bombay... but I haven't

seen anything or know of any copies, all this practise

is based on Korunta, you know." And at the same time

he swept his hand across the arena where we

practise.

It felt like he was asking: "Isn't it

enough that you have the practise?" without words, so I

didn't want to push the issue & just thanked him.

The copies Sharat told me of were NOT of the Yoga

Korunta (Which was falling apart when Krishnamacharya

read it) but were photocopies of Krishnamacharya's

NOTES from reading the Korunta.

Any further

information would be helpful.

Thanks,

DMcG
