Guest guest
Padmanow, or anyone in the know, where are vipassana retreat places on the west coast?<br><br>The book on Vipassana was a bit dry for me as I'm more a doer than a reader.<br><br>However I did some alternative reading--the Dalai Lama's new book Open Heart. VERY, VERY, good! It was an advance readers, but it should be published any day now.<br><br>Still I wrestle with "substratum vs. emptiness"<br> <br>Thanks any and all,<br>GL

Guest guest
Q: Do you think it's that much of an impediment to practice "a little" yoga or is that just orthodox preaching that it would potentially "reverse" the effects. I read in the Art of Living book that people with physical problems may not be suitable for this practice. I don't function well without yoga due to current problems. I refuse to believe I wouldn't benefit from vipassana, but I also know what my body needs in terms of asana better than anyone else. Your thoughts please.
