Guest guest
The notion that Lino was the first westerner to understand that vinyasas were counted is a charmingly naive and ludicrous idea! Guruji has taught lead classes since he first travelled to America over 20 years ago. Tim Miller has been teaching lead classes with a sanskrit counted vinyasa for nearly 20 years (back when Miele was still carting technical equipment around backstage). Although many refer to surya namaskara postions as chaturanga dandasana, up dog, down dog, Guruji has always refered to these as chatvari, pancha and shat positions (four, five and six). In other words to claim that Lino figured this out first is to suggest that everyone else was mentally obtuse until Lino came along because he was the genuis that could count (where all others had failed)!
Missy doesn't know wether to laugh or cry, or just hop on a train to Shining Skull's place and thwack him on the leg with a stick (Iyengar style).
missy "oh, you mean sapta means seven" pinky
