Guest guest
I read that link and thought it was a satirical piece, pretty good, maybe the "Onion" staff, they can be sharp and funny. Turns out it is "straight", even better.
Guest guest
There is no satire involved in that article. That writer is being dead-on honest. I think you have to live in New York or Los Angeles to have a certain appreciation for it. The writer does say at some point she started to look at these people and see them as completely self-absorbed. Do you think that is sort of true about people REALLY into yoga? Part of me sees a lot of self-absorption. Another part sees people who are seekers and looking for something beyond the mundane -- who have a heightened sense of consciousness. They are a little more evolved and interested investigating that regardless of the consequences which can often be VERY painful because yoga and meditation stirs up a lot of unresolved emotional issues.
