Guest guest
I found my experience in Mysore to be transformational in many ways. I too had questions about guru worship and fat wads of rupees changing hands. During my time with him I was gathering information without realizing it. Lots of my questions have been answered --but long after I was back in the states. This is not something to overlook. Having questions but still moving forward in faith is part of the process.

And about getting adjustments-- to many leads to getting hurt. Maybe guruji doesn't give them for that reason. Who knows? I got hurt there and during the recovery proccess I developed an even deeper practice than I would have otherwise. I would not want to repeat the injury nor would I give up the gains.

This is not all either. My time in Mysore keep giving to me all the time-- and not all of it came from Guruji. I met some great people there as well. I may never get to go back but I will always be glad i went complaints and all.
Guest guest
Interesting to learn that Sarath too has had painful openings. There was something in that old Details magazine article about Sarath having "chronic back pain" from intense backbends. From seeing him give a demonstration last year i take it this pain is a thing of the past.
