Guest guest
"where the heck do you find the time to read all these books? "

Well I can't claim that I have read all the books I mention on my website or that I have on my shelves. I keep them coming and I do feel overwhelmed sometimes. But I think of my books mainly as a reference library. I have "spent some time" with most of them. I once mentioned here an interview with a hand surgeon I found on the web.
http://www.links.net/vita/corp/manu/markison/full.html
He says he reads a book a day. I don't have that much time, but I think we all have more time than we realize. I always like to point out that there are 168 hours in a week.

I did just finish a book (cover to cover!) called The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma. Its kind of a motivational, positive thinking book but I liked it a lot and highly recommend it. After aquiring tons of books in the quest to figure out how to have a healthy body I realized that you can also feed yourself info on how to improve your mind.

I'm excited about Caroline Myss, who I have just discovered. She has a couple of best-selling books which are already classics in the field of self-healing - Anatomy of the Spirit and Why People Don't Heal and How They Can. And she has a new book on the way in a few weeks. You can read more about her books on Amazon and she has a website here: http://www.myss.com

And yes, good books should be read more than once. (and then STUDIED!) Reading and rereading carefully selected good books was one of the ideas in The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. The book also mentions that there are 168 hours in a week (which I've been saying for many years).

I think its good to read widely and get lots of perspective on things. And I think its good to watch lots of good documentaries. I don't have cable but I find tons of good stuff on PBS. I'll be watching stuff on PBS and thinking "all kids should have to watch this in school".

There's a reason we have minds...........
