Guest guest
>>One positive aspect of this situation is the example set by Eddie Stern. I already admire him for not advertising on the internet ....<<

I wonder how naive people can be on this board?! Come on now, does Eddie *need* any advertising on the internet?? He is the translator of YOGA MALA, everybody in the astanga community knows him for this, it's ad enough me thinks. Then you have the shooting troopers in Eddie's following like the Senor_Pinche_Wey here, who are making gratis PROMOTION NON-STOP for their chosen teacher, on this public message board and elsewhere.

Don't forget: no pictures of Eddie ... no website ... a secret address for his shala: why it's the BEST PR TRICK you can have - and it works!!! Guest guest
why is *not* having an internet presence suddenly the mark of a superior yoga teacher? wouldn't a page giving his shala's address, phone, and an explanation of the rules of attendance help nip the yoga tourism in the bud?
