Beginner ... question

I started Ashtanga yoga over a month ago and simply love it.

I have noticed several things, and wondered if anyone out there had

advice/suggestions/experience, etc.?

1. My hamstrings ... oy! Will I loosen up? How long did this take

other people?

2. How do I deal with getting ahead of myself? I want to be able

to put my leg behind my ear right away, which I know will take

time. But I do get frustrated sometimes. Can someone tell me about

how one's body adjusts to a dedicated yoga practice, and what I can

look forward to?

Thanks. I just found and joined this list, and am as excited about

it as my Ashtanga classes.

Peace.

Matt :)

Margee is so right with this one. The practice takes dedication,

faith and compassion. You may not be feeling happy and excited to

practice 5/6 days, but challenge yourself and don't let your mind

talk you out of things.

Most of all savor the journey!
