Guest guest
Namaste! Sometimes I use a lift for the sarvangasana/halasana/karnapidasana set, and this protects the neck. I have to confess I don't always use it because I find that setting up props and having to move them around can interrupt the flow of my practice. But it really helps relieve pressure on the neck and aid the upward lift of the hips. Most of the advanced students in my group use a lift so that should probably be my example!
