Guest guest
A friend of mine sent this post. I do not know what the contents are, or if they have any significance. If someone can fill-in-the blanks, that would be wonderful. "Sammy and I recently attended an Indian wedding. At the reception, they handed out a small gift to all the women. I asked what it ment, and they said it was just a gift. It is a small round silver container, a little larger than a pill box. The part I am wondering about is the contents. It filled with tiny 1/8" cubes of sugar (almost looks like rock salt, but I tasted it, and it is sugar) It also contains some 1/4" x 1/8" green seed pods. The seed pods are filled with little tiny black seeds. It smells very sweet. Can you take a guess at what the spice is and let me know if there is any symbology? I am just curious. I searched the internet and found plenty about the wedding ceremony but found nothing about traditional gifts." _________ Om Shanti ...
