Guest guest
Hi there. You wanted to know what day this happened. I kept a journal while I was there. This occurred in conference on Friday, May 24th. He really did say these things, and probably at least 50 people were there to hear it, including Kimberly and Noah, so if you don't believe me, you can ask them. Please do. Perhaps he does teach Muslims and/or has taught Muslims in the past, but he definitely SAID he never has/won't on May 24th, and from what senior students who were there said, he makes statements like this regularly. Kimberly and Noah said they have often heard him say similar things in the past. Joseph was in town that week and had discussions with the woman in question and he also confirmed that Guruji keeps saying these things, and apparently his opinion was that it had to stop. (I didn't have a discussion with Joseph directly, but if you know him, perhaps you can). I think Eddie was also in town within a few days of this, so he also may be able to confirm this for you. Hope that answers your uncertainty. For the record, I love Ashtanga practice, and somehow I seem to still love Guruji, too, although perhaps in a different way now, so I'm not really one of the anti-ashtanga bashers. Take care. Oh, regarding who the woman is, I don't think it would be fair to her for me to give her name (here espcially!) But if you want to talk to her, I can call her and ask her if she'd like to speak to/e-mail with you. I am hoping one day she will write about this. But - this would have been just as inappropriate had she not been there. The inappropriateness of this was just more noticeable because someone got hurt directly and very visibly/publicly. Take care. --- senor_pinche_wey wrote: El senor has contacted several of his field operatives in Mysore. All deny that this incident ever took place. Who was the woman from New York? What day did this supposedly happen since Guruji and company left some time ago for the world tour? It seems that the anti-ashtanga movement will stop at nothing to defame the good name of our blessed teacher. Shame on you!
