ashtanga yoga 7 days a week, except moon days?

Yes this is what has been taught. However science would seem to prove

otherwise (in regards to asana practice).

Personally I practice asana 3-7 days a week, meditate 7 days, Jujutsu 2-4 at

the dojo but 7 days on my own, then push-ups and ab work 7 days. I am just

curious as to the discrepancy. I feel good most of the time, but sometimes I

feel really tired, and one day off usually re-energizes me for future

practice, which is what brought me to ask this question.

Thanks,
