Hey Everyone,

i don't think this is totally yoga related, but i have

had a serious migraine headache for 3 days now!

i am also completely parched all the time, although i

am drinking tons on water, more than i usually do.

it is a headache right above my eyes, and its just

terrible.

I am allergic to alleve, so am extremely hesitant to

try over the counter drugs.

can anyone suggest anything, whether it be food,

drink, pills, posture, anything to help?

much appreciated and hope everyone is well...

Hmmm no expert, although have had migraines and visit a chiro regularly

to prevent.

I think it may be niacin, vitamin b3 that acts as a vasodilator? I've

heard that may help.

I totally empathize - my sister gets them too and takes a herb - think

it's called feverfew.

Have you tried a google search or a good natural health store?

hey iam a nursing major in college getting my BS, its

not really normal to have a migrine H/A for so long,

go to your doctor and ask him about some "beta

blockers" and ask him if he thinks you would benfit

from them....they are usually used for H/A and

lowering blood pressure, so as long as your BP is not

too low he will probally write you a precription.

I used to get terrible migraines myself (3-4 days also), and the

thing is if you self-medicate yourself they can get worse (in pain,

duration and frequency). So the best thing is to see a doctor. I went

to one and we tried different alternatives to medicine and it turns

out that caffeine and GSM are migraine triggers im my case, and (it

may sound like an infomercial) but avoiding them really has changed

my life.

Take care
