hello everyone

i was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on the following. ive

practised ashtanga for a few years now and, (with some modifications) quite

happily practise the primary series once a day.i have the option to practice

in the morning and in the evening - though at the moment i tend to pracitice

in the evening. i was wondering wether what times are generally regarded

best to practice (morning or evening) and whether practicing the primary

sequence twice a day is considered excessive.

thanks for you help

mike

ps after asanas and rest in savasana - what is it advisable to do in the

followig hour? is there a particular form of meditation that follows asana?

any advice would be great.

Regarding your second question, about after practice. I have

observed a period of silence, making it time to contemplate something

specific, or just observe peace and quite. I recommend trying

silence, for whatever length of time you feel appropriate, and see if

you enjoy the practice.

** First, the best time to practice is during Brahma Muhurta,

the "Time of God". Generally speaking, this is between 4 & 6am.

Specifically, this means any time, two hours BEFORE sunrise.

As to twice-a-day, I would say .. the body needs an opportunity to

rest. Honor it by doing so.

Om Shanti ...
