The International Yoga Federation offers a

comprehensive education in Science, Art and Philosophy

of Yoga taught by a community of highly qualified Yoga

Masters "Yogacharyas" who embody traditional and

innovative approaches to learning.

 

IYF aims to promote the physical, mental, spiritual

and social benefits of Yoga and Yogatherapy for

everybody (regardless of age, sex, ability or

disability, ethnicity or religion), to provide Yoga

events, Yoga congress, Yoga coneventions, Yoga

publictions, Yoga research, Yoga seminars, Yoga

workshops, Yoga meetings, Yoga education, Yoga teacher

training in all the traditions and methods.

 

The International Yoga Federation IYF is the point of

meeting of all International, Continental, Regional

and National yoga organisations all over the world.

IYF is a forum for yoga schools, all traditions,

teacher organizations, and independent yoga

professionals. IYF provides a vehicle for those who

teach unity to come together in unity, while

supporting the diversity that exists within the World

Yoga Community.

 

International Yoga Federation IYF is a voluntary

alliance of diverse yoga organizations and individual

yoga masters and yoga teachers dedicated to uphold the

integrity of Yoga, establish voluntary "international

standards for yoga teachers", and provide support for

yoga professionals in the World

 

International Yoga Federation IYF is a self-regulating

non profit organization that provides support services

to all yoga professionals, establishes and

disseminates standards for the education of yoga

teachers, and maintains a "internatinal registry of

teachers" who meet those standards.

 

International Yoga Federation IYF brings together the

international community of yoga with organizations

that provide health care, medical and human services,

stress management, and spiritual support to the

public.

 

The IYF was founded in 1988, under the name of

International Yoga Teachers and Instructor Federation

IYTIF principally with a view to training teachers. In

in september of 2001 become the International Yoga

Federation with new contitution and status

 

The aims of the Federation include:

 

* To promote Yoga adn Yogatherapy in the World

* To provide general information, research,

education and training, relating to all aspects of

Yoga

* To co-operate with and support other bodies

with similar aims

* To explore various methods of yoga and

yogatherapy

* To promote Yoga in the World
