Guest guest
I think that using props is not good way of doing ashtanga yoga. AFAIK the purpose of a ashtanga "session" is to have a steady flow of asanas that are tied together with ujjai breathing. Playing with props between asanas breaks the flow. Try to do all the sun salutations and asanas in one flow, allways starting the next asana with an inhale after the last exhale of the asana before that... Sit crosslegged in those padmasanas and you will sooner or later notice that the other asanas have loosen your hips enough to do padmasana. Best Regards Kristian ps. We would not have this problem if somebody would have designed us better . No engineer would place a weak bidirectional joint (knee) between two multidirectional joints. (anckle and hip). Does anyone know a place where I could upgrade my knees. ashtanga yoga, "n3wskin <miguel_tereno@n...>" <miguel_tereno@n...> wrote: > On the other > hand, sure, why not just try and make ashtanga as smooth and easy > as possible (given that we´re talking about a beginner), by using > props? > > Thank you all for sharing your experiences, and peace!) > >
