It is generally a good idea to refer people with

specific medical issues to a specialized medical

doctor or physical therapist for a consultation.

There are probably doctors in their areas who are yoga

practitioners themselves that can give them detailed

modifications specific to their conditions. Although

it can be helpful to receive advice from advanced

practitioners, it is good to first consult with a

qualified medical professional to be on the safe side.
