Hi,

Been reading this list for awhile, and started to practice Ashtanga a couple

of years ago.

Though been practising Yoga, in the Satyananda-style since 83.

But really like the physical aspects of Ashtanga.

Trained with a teacher for a bit more then a year, but had to stop because I

really found him very

immature mentally and spiritually (those aspects I am more familiar with

then strict physical

practicing, as to lot of meditation).

Even if the guy was skilled at the 3rd limb, the physical part of ashtanga,

it seemed to me that

he had stopped there.

So since 2 years back I work to get a practice for myself at home.

It isn¹t easy, my body rejects it many days.

I try to be gentle with myself and not push (I¹ve been there and know that

it creates alot of

mental bad habits)

I did a lot of yogic physical practicing earlier on that mental habit, it

became a must,

and it¹s hard to get through.

I think the causes to your problems is deeper then body problems.

Our bodies are a reflection on how our manifestation looks, ALL of it.

Our relations, our thoughts, our emotions, our spiritual evolevements, etc.

I don¹t know if I really see periods of less physical practicing as ³bad²

anymore,

as those times I can spend more time with pranayama and meditation,

and look into the changes that most obviously goes on in my being,

that my body is telling me to recognice instead of just trying to move

ahead.

All strong periods of spiritual evolvements happens in my experience

when body energy is low. Many paradoxes in life. :-)

Love,

Lillemor
