Guest guest
Hi, In sports or fitness in general, specificity of the training plays a very important role. The cardiovascular endurance that we get from practicing yoga will not bring the same result for football. football requires a lot of running and only through similar activities will you be able to get the cardiovascular fitness that is required for the sport. I don't think an additional cardiovascular training will be detrimental to your practice. In fact, it will help improve your practice. I suggest you continue your yoga practice and include some other forms of aerobic/cardiovascular training for football like jogging or running. jon > hello everyone > > i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice... > > i play regularly for a local football team and find that i could do with > improving my cardiovascular fitness. i practice a full primary series in > the > morning but i find that ashtanga does not provide me with the match > fitness > that i need. i would therefore like to do some additional cardiovascular > training but i am concerned that this will be to the detrement of my > practice. yoga is a very important part of my life, but i dont think that > it > should stop me from playing the sports that i enjoy. therefore, does > anyone > have any advice they can give me regarding CV training for sport while > maintaining a strong yoga practice. > > thanks in advance for all your advice! > > mike > > > > > _______________ > Stay in touch with MSN Messenger http://messenger.msn.co.uk > > > > Sponsor > > > > ashtanga yoga > > > > > --
