Guest guest
there are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground. Your email is beautiful and heartfelt and is making tears come to these eyes as I too when I was your age cried that same cry - only mine wasn't so specific. I didn't know that something as amazing as a guru existed. I want to be very direct with you because someone so open can be vulnerable to perhaps the wrong influence and yet at the same time I want to say that with sincere yearning and true disciple qualities you could surrender to a donkey and still change inside in places no one but you and God know about and no one no matter how corrupt could touch you. It is always the quality of the disciple and not the master that brings about the change - and truly the most beautiful masters are the most humble disciples. So you probably know all this already. You must also know that when the disciple is ready the master will appear. That is not a cliche. It is not up to your mind to determine when you are ready. It is not about studying scriptures and knowing mentally about the process. You are asking to know your heart. There is no preparation other than the unfolding of life that can prepare you for the meeting of your heart. It seems cruel and uncaring but in your yearning isn't there a deliciousness? That is already your answer. If you cry for God long enough as a mother comes to her child your cry will be answered. Are you ready for that kind of unconditional love? jivamuktiguy <jivamuktiguy wrote:hello.... They say ask and you shall find so here it goes.....I am 21 and need really really need a teacher. Guest guest
Jivamuktiguy: Where are you located? I am in the Central Florida area and have a wonderful teacher. I am sure if you start talking to dedicated practicioners in your area, they will help you locate a teacher that will help you with your journey. Guest guest
Chris, I admire your devotion to your practice and embracing of the philosphy of yoga. Below is a link to the website of the yoga studio where I practice. The owner, Lewis, has trained with many wonderful teachers, including Doug Swenson and Patobi Jois. I am very blessed to have found him and his studio! www.fullcircleyoga.com.
