Guest guest
This article has some information, and suggests some further reading: http://indigo.ie/~cmouze/yoga_online/diet.htm >From what I've heard, there are some contradictions between the classical diet recommended in texts such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the diets recommended by more modern books. I think it's useful to find out what is recommended, but more important to learn to recognise what is good for your particular body intuitively. --- Michael Wood <michaelwood1980 wrote: hi everyone i was wondering if anyone could recommend any good books on yogic diets? thanks mike _______________ On the move? Guest guest
no final word here either. light diet makes for good practice. eat dinner before sundown fast until after ashtanga practice. traditional oriental medicine doctor told me that vitamin pills just make for expensive pee. since they always made me slightly nauseous, I stopped vitamins. I take flax oil and barley greens (organic) lots of nutritional herbs in teas or decoctions. nettles, alfalfas, rosehips, etc. I am in my 50's, practice 2nd series and never felt better! Just thought I would share this because it is the result of my 30 year long search of diet, exercise and bodywork methods. every body and their search will be different but for every body -- Ashtanga rules! tiber33 <no_reply> wrote: This is not the final word on diet... but here is what I do.
