Guest guest
This is the end of my first week of Ashatanga. After 1 single week, I already feel subtle changes in my body. I am now comfortable enough with the 'sun salutation' that I will be doing it art home on my own. I could not push myself up with my palm from a sitting sown position on my first day. After less than a week I am a few inches off the floor. Now the hard part will be to continue this journey in a consistent manner for a life time. I believe that I am up tot he challenge. I am also interested in intensively working on my abdominals muscles on my own(aside from formal classes.) My abdominal muscles are weak due to a surgery, a sedentary life style and obesity. My abdominal muscles lost their tone and this lead to excessive fat deposits on the abdominal wall. I would like my abdominal muscles to be strong and elastic. I would lie to practice on my own the many yogic poses which make abdominals strong and elastic. I am told that for optimal performance, muscles should be contracted and stretched. Does anyone have a site with a visual representation of the Asanas below: 1. Bhunjagasana 2.salabhasana 3.Dhanurasana 4.Yoga-Mudra 5.Halasana 6.Vakrasana 7.Ardha-Matsyendrasana 8.Uddiyana 9. Nauli Which one should a person practice the most. Any advice would be appreciated. herve
