Guest guest
In relation to the points presented by the leather-bag producer: I think that if Yoga teaches ahimsa, not everybody that does Yoga need to follow ahimsa, but that does not justify them going against ahimsa. If their intention is to be a practitioner of Yoga, and since ahimsa is a principle inherent to all main Yoga traditions, it is a matter of coherence not to deny it. It is the same as to be a vegetarian and to eat meat. Also, the meat industry, as other industries in general, dimensions its production capacity based on demand forecast for all by-products, for reasons of managerial economy. Thus not necessarily leather is always simply a by-product, and it might have independent influence on the production decision.
