ashtanga yoga Lolasana

As I was taught, Lolasana (also known as Uttplotihi) is meant to "seal in"

the effects of that practice.

I always reckoned it was to get all the stresses out of your muscles before

relaxation - you know, tensing all of your muscles before savasana.

Lolasana finishes the practice due to the facts that all 3 bandas are engaged

and breathing really refined. I have heard teachers say that the final three

postures are the most important for this reason

The pentultimate pose is uth pluthihi - not lolasana. Different

pose.

penultimate pose would be padmasana, uth pluthihi would be the last

are you saying that lolasana or even uth pluthihi, is done with

jalandhara bandha engaged? I don't have any books nearby, but I've

always learned that the drishti is more upward as seen in the picture

of sharath in the pose (scroll down to uth pluthihi)

kind of hard to engage that badha with that drishti.

what does that mean when the breathing is "really refined"?--- In
