Guest guest
Lori, Since you have found this site, you have hopefully had the chance to read back through some of the older posts and have already found some answers to the questions you have asked. These kinds of questions do come up frequently, so you shouldn't have to look back too far. Another place to look is another ashtanga message board, http://pub42.ezboard.com/byoga84291 Can you get more flexible after you are past the age of 20? Oh my, I hope so. At the grand old age of twenty, there is almost nothing that you can't do. How much yoga should you do? try doing it thre times a week to see if you feel okay with it. If so, then you should do it almost every day. The most common recommendation is 6 days a week, if you can arrange things to allow that. Concerned about that teaching certificate? Learn to walk, then the question of how to run will be better answered. Can it be learned from a DVD alone? Maybe. But that is the least ideal approach. Finding a teacher of some kind to help you with your form is important. ashtanga yoga, "Lori Sen" <lorisen@h...> wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > i'm new to ashtanga yoga.. i've just ordered the dvd for beginners and i > can't wait to start it! > > i'd like to ask some questions, since most of you have been practising > ashtanga yoga for a long time. > > -i'm 20 and is it possible to improve flexibility after this age?? i mean > can i get to an advanced level after practising ashtanga yoga for a long > time??? can i be able to do the postures comfortably? > > -is it enough just to practice by dvd??
