Guest guest Posted August 6, 2003 Report Share Posted August 6, 2003 Hello everyone, i'm new to ashtanga yoga.. i've just ordered the dvd for beginners and i can't wait to start it! i'd like to ask some questions, since most of you have been practising ashtanga yoga for a long time. -i'm 20 and is it possible to improve flexibility after this age?? i mean can i get to an advanced level after practising ashtanga yoga for a long time??? can i be able to do the postures comfortably? -is it enough just to practice by dvd?? Well i live in Turkey and there is no ashtanga yoga here! not that i know of.. i'd be glad if someone knew about 'ashtanga yoga in Turkey"... -how much practice is good for a beginner?? is it too much to practice everyday? or do u recommend less? -i've tried yoga for a couple of times, and i just loved it... but after i learned about ashtanga yoga, i thought "that's what i want to do". and i'm quiet serious about it. if i want to start teaching someday, how can i get a certificate??
