I have been practicing Ashtanga yoga – primary series every day (Monday - Friday) for almost three months and am doing pretty good. I have a hard time focusing on keeping my attention on the poses and have the tendency to drift off for literally half the practice. My goal is to try to stay focused on an object in my house (like the flame on a candle), or different scenery, or trying to clear my mind by closing my eyes. My attention almost always goes back to planning the week, or reflecting on what I did over the weekend, or just really daydreaming at times. I tend to get frustrated during the practice that I can't keep a peaceful mind for more than a few minutes Does anybody have advice on how they keep focused for the two hours on the poses?
