Guest guest
as far as I know, no shortcuts But it helps to have your body really warmed up and to wear long sweatpants to keep your legs warm. It also helps if you practice stretching janushirshasana, paschimotanasana and upavishtakonasana in a warm environment where muscles stretch really good. (try it in sauna Above all, keep practicing regularly, don't allow that the hamstrings get tight again by practicing only once or twice a week. The other advice is to keep muscles on your face relaxed and keep a smile on your face while you're doing it, it sends a signal to your body that the stretch is nothing threatening to your body and that fact helps you relax the tightness in your hamstrings. With every exhale try to relax the muscles on your legs a little more and then on the inhale go slightly deeper in pose. Be very careful if anyone is helping you, in the beginning I would practice the stretch just by myself, later when the body gets used to it you might have someone gently push your back town to the floor (someone who knows what he/she is doing) good luck, jana on 12/9/03 12:32, craghopper2003 at craghopper2003 wrote: > Hi everyone > > I posted a message a while back requesting the best way to stretch > Hamstrings. Guest guest
You might want to check out the latest Yoga International. They have an amazingly informative article on stretching in general. Stretching goes deeper than the muscle. craghopper2003 <craghopper2003 wrote:Hi everyone I posted a message a while back requesting the best way to stretch Hamstrings.
