Some 18 years ago I practice yoga for a couple of years. Now I am past 40 and my interest in yoga was brought up again after I read David Swenson's book Ashtanga yoga. Noticing that agility is not what it used to be, what would be your advice: Practicing each asana individually until acquiring some easiness or start right away with the full flow, using the alternative postures that David gives in his book? Guest guest
When I started practicing Mysore style, by teacher had me practice up to Navasana for a while then gradually added each posture as I improved and memorized the sequence. Guest guest
Thank you Chris and max for your answers. I live in the south of Portugal and as far as I know there are no teachers here. I think books will be my guide for a while. Regards Antonio > dive into the flow and see what happens...start with sun sal.
