I am 57 and practice Asthanga 4 times a week.

Twice a week led classes, and twice a week self-practice at home.

Clearly I will never get past the primary series, but that's ok, I

love it!

Humph.

Old ? 55 to 60, OLD ????

Darned cheek.

Listen, 85 to 90 is old.

55 to 60 is not.

You just wait until you get here, you'll see.

And Yes, we 'oldies' DO still practice !

(Haven't you heard of Indra Devi, died at 103 and still practising?

and there are many others, many, many others still practising well

into their nineties.)

I have met and studied with Gwendolyn Hunt, who is currently in her

early-mid 70s and who began practicing Ashtanga at 60. I have to

say, she did not strike me as someone I would describe as in "old

age."

see info about her at: http://www.ashtanga.ie/teachers.html
