Guest guest
I have been doing ashtange yoga now for about 6 months, 5 to 6 days a week for about an hour. During this time, i have lost between 14 to 15kg or about 28 to 30 pounds or more. I'm not sure if this is normal or healthy. I used to train almost everyday at the gym, lifting weights and such, so I know a lot of the loss was muscle mass, but now that I'm tonned and getting stronger by practicing yoga, I'm not sure if it is normal to lose so much. Could someone please give me some advice about this. Thanks very much Karen
Guest guest
Karen... I think that's just fantastic! Astanga yoga is a physically demanding style of yoga in addition to the mental demands. One of the theraputic effects is the detoxifying of the body...it's been said that years of bodily damaged are purged during a regular Astanga practice. Believe it... I lost over 30 lbs within the first 7 months of practicing Astanga. You use ALL your muscles in every pose... ashtanga yoga, karencoolkid <no_reply> wrote: > I have been doing ashtange yoga now for about 6 months, 5 to 6 days > a week for about an hour. Guest guest
hey there The people I have taught one man who started a self practice week lost 3 kgs in 3 weeks, alot of people loose wieght but really is very well needed is to see a nutritionalist if you are going to maintain the practice, if you miss one thing in the web of nutrients then the web can fall apart and inflame other issues, and drink loads of water 2-3 litres a day as a basic, it will redifine your body completely aswell, changing the muscle structure to tighter more compact muscle! blessing in you practice james ashtanga yoga, karencoolkid <no_reply> wrote: > I have been doing ashtange yoga now for about 6 months, 5 to 6 days > a week for about an hour.
