I had the same problem for a while, I think it has something to do with

your adenoids. I started using a liquid for my nose that helps in case

of stuffed nose and after only doing it for a few days the problem

disappeared. But might be better to just go to the doctor and tell him

about his problem. One of the women practicing in my studio had this

problem and had an operation. She says she had never had this problem

since.

I also get a very stuffed nose in this position, and headstand, even

after I've taken my nose spray. I have very bad allergies, but I

find if I continue my moves and get to shoulderstand pose, this

totally clears everything up. When my allergies are really bad, I

do this pose and it really helps. I hold it longer than usual, then

I feel great afterwards. I find any downward facing move plugs my

nose, but any upward facing move helps to clear it naturally. You

should try some upward facing moves after downward dog. It should

help. Karen
