Guest guest
Karen and anyone else in Japan, What part of Japan are you in? Anyone in Saitama City and interested in group practice - Mysore Style, let me know...I would love to get together with other people to practice. Nearest school (awesome teachers and I really miss going) to me is an hour and a half away! As for English speaking doctors in Japan - there are loads! Here's the English line for a group that will help locate a few in your area. They helped me find a female, English speaking doctor within biking distance from my inaka home a couple of years ago! AMDA International Medical Information Center TOKYO 03-5285-8088. AMDA KANSAI:06-6636-2333 English:Mon to Fri.9am to 5pm Information on facilities, practitioners and the Japanese medical system. http://www.osk.3web.ne.jp/~amdack/english/E_index.html *link wasn't working when I tried it recently. Guest guest
Actually I'm quite far from Saitama. I live in Shizuoka city near Fuji. I'm about 1 1/2 hours on the shinkansen from Tokyo. they have yoga schools in my city, but in Japanese only. I have access to English doctors here as well (through my company) but thanks for the extra information. I'm going to look that up as well. I would love an english yoga group to start here, but it doesn't seem to be all that popular around my area. If you hear of anything, let me know. Thanks again for the information. I would also love to practice with someone, since I have never before (always alone). I'm sure I have some bad habits that need to be reviewed. I have seen English yoga retreats in Tokyo and area, but very expensive for me to go to, plus I don't have a lot of holidays. If there is anyone in my area (shizuoka prefecture) I would love to join up on a Sunday or Monday sometime. Hopefully there are some people around. Guest guest
Karen: I had to laugh when I read your message and I know well what you are talking about. I have four dream trips I have been working my tail off to take: Rome, Tel Aviv, Mysore and Kyoto. Keep in touch and good luck.
