trying to find a class!

Hi- I also live in Rockland County (Airmont) and have been looking

for classes in the area as well. There's not a lot out there but

here's what I've found:

 

Yoga Bums, Rutherford NJ

Led Ashtanga Mon 7:30PM-9:00PM

(there's another led class on Wed at 7:30PM that is on hiatus until

4/28 because the regular teacher is in Mysore until then)

 

Starseed Yoga, Montclair NJ

Led Ashtanga Sun 8AM-9:45AM and Tues 7:30PM-9:00PM

Mysore Astanga Mon/Wed/Fri 6:30AM- 8AM

(double check the times of the Mysore class- it may be starting

earlier as the same teacher from Yoga Bums is the regular instructor

and I think the guy subbing for him might be starting at 6AM)

Mysore Ashtanga Tues/Thurs/Sun 7AM (til 8:30AM?)

The teacher is Raji Thron- he has come up with his own style (which

is Yoga Synthesis) but his Mysore classes are traditional Ashtanga.

A friend of mine practice with him and really likes him and I've

heard other good things about him as well.

(I haven't been here, but this one seems pretty "power yoga-y" even

though their class description of Ashtanga says "a.k.a.'the primary

series'")

 

This is the extent of what I've found in northern NJ, Rockland and

Westchester. I didn't look any further afield than Greenwich in CT.

 

I went to a couple of led classes at Starseed and liked them. It's

a good space. I'm not sure how their schedule is going to work with

mine though.

 

I'd love to hear about other classes in the area if there are any!
