Guest guest
I think its a little interesting to get vertigo in setu bandasana of all poses. Vertigo or room spinning can be provoked by an otolith (little particle in semicircular canals) in the middle ear being dislodged that sometimes occurs with rotation of the head. Bridge pose however is pretty much stationary. It could be Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. This would be considered peripheral vertigo, however, you should go to your general doctor (or an otolaryngologist if its associated with hearing problems or ringing in the ears.) They should be able to diagnose it definitively as well as possibly give you exercises to do for the symptoms. Other possibilities include equilibrium disorders...are you pressing on your spine during setu bandasana? these are obviously just some thoughts...better to see your doctor. Guest guest
Thanks for your response Paneez! I haven't experienced any hearing loss and I don't have any ringing in my ears, but I will consider getting this checked out just the same. The problem did go away the first time it occured (last May), but obviously something's still wrong or it wouldn't have happened again. ashtanga yoga, Paneez Mostafavipour <pmosta1@u...> wrote: > > I think its a little interesting to get vertigo in setu bandasana of all > poses.
