I am wondering if you could pass on any e-mails that others might send to you

with suggestions. I also am planning a three month trip to Mysore starting in

January of next year and would appreciate any and all thoughts from others that

have been there before. I look forward to any thing you would think could

interest a first time female traveller to India!

ashtanga yoga Mysore Trip

Namaste,

I am seriously interested in studying with Guruji in Mysore this coming

November. Is there anyone that would like to share their experiences both on

the

mat and off? I have never been to India but have made it as far as Egypt and

have lived all over the world so I am not new to international travel or being

in 3rd world countries so that at least give me a little head start. I am

interested in stories, best hotel deals (inexpensive yet descent, I dont need

5

star accommodations), suggestions on what to bring, shots (I did see the shots

link off of the site but has anyone gone without takings shots...I am needle

shy but will get them if it is really much safer,,I didn't get shots for

Egypt). Apparently the food situation is about the same as in Egypt you even

brush

your teeth with their water (not swallowing a thing) you can get sick....eat

everything cooked and nothing from the street ? Anywho...just any details

that

would make the trip easier and the planing of the trip easier too....wish me

luck..also, anyone going in Nov? You can email me at awomansspirit1

if you wish...

Also, if their is a digest number that already has this info please refer me

to it so that no one has to rewrite what might be already saved in this groups

archives.

Peace,

Vishva Devi

hey, i'm marion, from france.

i'm planning to move to india for several months at about the same time as you,

i've never been to mysore but i already went to mac leod ganj and rishikesh,

alone, and it was just great!

people in india are very nice, like everywhere i'd say, you still have to pay

attention and to be careful sometimes , conscient of the fact that some could be

attracted with some "not so high" intentions, but as soon as you say it to them,

it's fine!(just have to be clear!!)

but this is my experience, and as we're all different, we all esperience

different things!

anyway, if you have any question, welcome!

by the way, does anyone know a nice place to stay in in mysore(cheap one), an

ashram or so?

thank u!!

lots of love to u all,

namaste
