Guest guest
In regards to videos and dvd's to practice with, I suggest... Richard Freeman or John Scott These two are long time astanga practitioners and their dvd's would benefit a new or old yogi. Following the series on your own is another option always thought. Guest guest
Shamira: I highly recommend that you obtain a John Scott DVD or VHS -also his book "Ashtanga Yoga" is very helpful with guiding you through the primary series. Richard Freeman's VHS/DVDs are also very good -but I believe that for a beginner who hasn't been able to train with a teacher. John Scott's DVS/VHS is the best. Hope this helps and welcome! Guest guest
Shamirahudda- You can find his materials at http://www.ashtanga.net/ . They are the most challenging workout I've ever seen on tape, but contain steps to take if you can't quite manage the full extent of a given posture. Well worth the investment. Guest guest
You can purchase this tape or the dvd at downward dog yoga studio on Queen street west. Guest guest
Shamira: I don't believe John Scott has audio cds. I know that David Swenson does and although I have not heard them, several of my students tell me that they are quite good. You can get used copies fairly cheaply through Amazon. Best of luck to you. Also, John Scott's book is extremely helpful (can also purchase used via Amazon. Namaste, Maureen Shamira Hudda <shamirahudda wrote: Thanks so much!
