Guest guest
Namaste, Hysterectomy is a particularly difficualt surgery to recoup from. I've had two students go through this procedure, and both used their yoga practice to heal on both the physical and emotional levels. Here is my advice: spend some time in solitude each day, focusing on your breath. Direct the focus of the breath right into the belly, and visualize a clear, blue, healing light (like a mist) cooling and mending the tissues. Place your hands over your belly and let your heart overflow with love and compassion as you send healing energy through your hands. To get back into your asana practice, start slow. Lots of relaxations and supported poses. Use props- blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets can help you modify. Use this time as an opportunity to go back to the basics of your practice and deepen your understanding of the asanas. Be gentle, and be patient. Make it all about your breath. You will heal, and you will have your old practice back. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the deeper inner dimensions of your practice! pranams, Brianna --- jbabella2002 <jbabella2002 wrote: > I had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago. It was rougn!
