Guest guest
hi ... i'm new to yoga ( < 1 year) and started doing Ashtanga for a couple weeks but found myself wondering about the need/reason for doing Ashtanga in a class with a guru. There were 40 people in the class and I would get one or two adjustments ... but that was it ... it hardly seemed worth the cost of the class and the inconvience of traveling to it. Yet every Ashtanga DVD/Book I bought makes special effort to state that Ashtanga should be learned from a qualified teacher. Why???? The series are prescribed.
