Guest guest
Hi!! I've been practicing for a few months now daily...before that about 2x per week for a year. I have yet to learn the opening mantra. I have the text but can't for the life of me figure out how the words are pronounced correctly. Any suggestions on how I can learn this? Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi Andrea - There are a few places online where you can read the pronunciation, and also hear audio clips: Sri K. Pattabhi Jois http://www.ayri.org/opening_prayer.html It also has audio, although it's not very good quality. http://www.yogaworkshop.com/about_ashtanga_invocation.html Richard Freeman - most clear to listen to. Ashtanga Yoga Place, London: http://satyayoga.co.uk/mantras.html good quality audio Hope this helps Sara ashtanga yoga, "Giddy" <giddy@d...> wrote: > Hi!! > > I've been practicing for a few months now daily...before that about > 2x per week for a year. Guest guest
There's also recordings and Devanagiri (& video) here: http://www.eightlimbyoga.com/mantrau.htm And you should try to find Yoga Works' 1993 tapes of Richard, Eddie, Tim, Chuck, Maty, Karen doing 1st and 2nd Series. Guruji does opening but not closing mantra. ashtanga yoga, sschwittek <no_reply> wrote: > Hi Andrea - > > There are a few places online where you can read the pronunciation, > and also hear audio clips: > > Sri K.
