Guest guest
Andrea, although this is not the "ideal" place to learn a mantra, you can try listening to Madonna's "Shanthi/Ashtangi" from the Ray of Light CD. It isn't chanted in the traditional way, but her pronunciation helps to learn the chant. (also it's not the entire chant-the end is a bit different, and she adds a bunch of "om shanthi's" in a chorus). (Apparently Krishna Das helped her learn it) --- sschwittek <no_reply> wrote: > Hi Andrea - > > There are a few places online where you can read the > pronunciation, > and also hear audio clips: > > Sri K. Just this: what is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know. -Rene Daumel, Mount Analoque SBC - Internet access at a great low price. http://promo./sbc/
