Hi Deborah,

I've never been to Purple Valley but I agree it looks beautiful on the

website!

You asked about other places to practice in India. I spent 6 weeks in 2003

in Auroville last year and 4 weeks this year with Gerald Disse. Now he and

I are doing a retreat together there in August. Gerald is teaching there

most of the year and I highly recommend him as a teacher, if you want to do

Mysore style ashtanga. His adjustments are great, strong and percise but

never forceful. On my website, I have a page with photos and on that page

there are a few of Auroville and Gerald's place. Have a look....

www.ashtangaparis.com .

Good luck and enjoy India where ever you decide to go.

HI everyone...

I am wondering if any of you have ever practiced ashtanga at purple valley

in Goa India??

I have been checking out their website and am thinking about going later in

the year for at least two weeks.....Is it as nice as it looks?? Is it better

to take a pkg deal or make my own arrangements?? Are the teachers good??

Anything you can tell me would be much appreciated........even if you know

of somewhere else in India to have an ashtanga experience....ASIDE from the

research institute in Mysore...(I wanted to go there but as my back is quite

fragile and Im doing a modified practice at present I felt this would be too

intense???) any thoughts???? deborah :)
