ashtanga yoga Is it possible to build muscle with yoga?

the warriors are good for the legs... I guess all kinds of handstands would

help for the arms..

 

I don't think the goal in yoga would ever be to build big muscles.. But I

believe that the

practice of yoga brings more efficient and harmonized muscles.

Chatauranga -no question. Work toward holding it for five minutes -it will

build your biceps, triceps, trapezius and abs.

Do alot of vinyassas. It has really helped tone my upper body.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Since I;m a beginner I would find some

what taxing to do these poses. I'm working on the basics right now,

but I'll keep these poses in mind when I get more flexible and

stronger.
