Guest guest
hi all-- for the past few months I have been practicing at the Jivamukti yoga center learning that style. previously I have had 3 years of Iyengar study, and when i go out of town I practice Bikram--because I like the heat and also the nice showers( a big help when on the road--I am a musician) i like jivamukti but have decide I would rather invest time and money in learning the style that greatly influenced the jivamukti style--ashtanga. I have also been told that NYC has some of the best ashtanga teachers in the country and have decided to start studying at Guy Donahaye's shala. any advice or special tip on what kinds of adjustments I will need to make in order to learn the ashtanga series? Or do the jivamukti and ashtanga styles compliment each other in any way? I am just a little nervous but also very excited as I think I really enjoy studying at the shala. thanks, m
